Why we made the book

We love getting outdoors as a family, but finding somewhere new for a family day out can be surprisingly hard. What will actually be there? Will the children enjoy it? Is it worth the trip?

And even when we’ve found somewhere that sounds good, if the kids have no idea what to expect then it can be really difficult to motivate them. Quite often we end up exhausted before we’ve even left!

So we wrote Wild Adventures Chosen by Kids: Warwickshire to turn that around.

The book is designed to help children take the lead — choosing the adventure, deciding what they want to do and getting their stuff ready.  If it’s their idea, their enthusiasm can be infectious!  Grown-up pages then provide the practical details needed to make it all work.

We’ve explored, photographed and tested all 25 adventures. We really hope it makes it easier for other families to go on new outdoor adventures and make memories of their own.
